Billing Questions

At Ohio Valley Medical Center, we believe you should have access to all the information you need to live a healthier life. But we also understand that in addition to any questions you may have about your health, others regarding non-medical healthcare issues, like billing, might need addressed as well. Because we want you to be fully aware of what bills or statements you could receive after you procedure or surgery at Ohio Valley, we’ve provided the following list of common billing explanations.

  1. Insurance. Ohio Valley Medical Center accepts most area insurance plans. We will provide you with information regarding other assistance that may be available for payment of your medical bills.  Please call our Billing Department at 937-521-3943.

  2. Ohio Valley Medical Center. You will receive a bill or statement from Ohio Valley Medical Center for the facility charges involved with your surgery. It includes the charges for the surgery or procedures, supplies, medications, pre-op, surgical, recovery room and any applicable equipment charges that may have been utilized. Questions regarding the Ohio Valley Medical Center's charges should be directed to our Billing Department at 937-521-3943.

  3. Surgeon's Bill. When you have surgery at the Ohio Valley Medical Center, your doctor's office will send you a bill or statement for his/her professional surgical services. If you have any questions regarding your surgeon's bill, please call their office directly. They will be able to answer your questions.

  4. Anesthesia Bill. If you have surgery at our facility, you will receive a separate bill for the professional anesthesia services provided by Mercy Anesthesiologists. Questions regarding your anesthesia bill or statement should be directed to MediCorp at 800-426-1699 or 877-684-9114. MediCorp is responsible for the billing, processing and handling of professional anesthesia services related to your surgery or procedure.

  5. Pathology Bill. If your doctor sent a specimen to the pathologist, you will receive a statement from Trillium Pathology for the professional pathologist’s services. Please direct any questions regarding your pathology statements to Trillium Pathology at 866-875-2536.
