Once inside, you’ll check in at the front desk. If you have any questions or concerns upon your arrival, please do not hesitate to ask. We will help you in any way we can. If you have time following check-in, you can relax in our comfortable waiting area featuring a fully stocked refreshment area and free wireless Internet access—the guest Wi-Fi password is “Welcome” to reflect our facility’s design philosophy. Also, feel free to engage the scenery—the waiting area walls are covered with artwork for you to enjoy that embodies the spirit of Springfield and its proud history and people. If you’re staying with us overnight, here are some additional things you should know:
All 24 of our inpatient rooms are private, and located on the second floor. Each room comes with free wireless Internet access, an iPod dock and CD player, as well as accommodations for a family member to sleep comfortably overnight. On the same floor, you’ll find a family waiting area complete with convenient snacks and refreshments. As an overnight patient at Ohio Valley, you can order your meals from menus prepared just for you by local restaurants and caterers.
Be sure to bring your favorite book, a medicine list, socks, robe, toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant, comb, lotion, or anything else you think you’ll need for your stay. We will provide an admission kit that may cover items that you might have forgotten.
